COVID-19 Safety Update, and We’re Open!
We have been working towards making our kitchen as COVID-19 safe as we can and are delighted to be able to welcome back groups of up to 4 people, operating as one ‘bubble’.
We ask everyone coming to a class to advise us if you have had a high temperature, developed COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with a person with COVID-19 symptoms in the last 14 days. If this is the case we will be happy to offer you a new class at a later date.
Please see below the precautions in place:
On Arrival
- On entry everyone will be required to use alcohol based sanitiser on their hands.
- Contact details will be taken for the NHS Test and Trace service.
- We have a space set aside for your possessions, and we provide cleaning wipes for phones if you will be using them during the class.
- Before starting to cook everyone will be asked to wash their hands.
During Class
- Everyone will be asked to use a face mask unless for some reason they are unable to do so. It can be removed for tasting and eating, but while we are preparing food we ask that masks be worn.
- We will ask everyone to wash their hands regularly with soap and water to again limit the spread of any viruses and bacteria.
- Surfaces will be wiped down regularly with correct cleaning fluids, and the kitchen and all regularly touched surfaces will be fully cleaned before the class.
- When leaving the toilet please wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds. Paper towels are available for wiping hands.
- We will ensure good ventilation by keeping an external door open. Please bring a sweater!
If you have any questions, please get in touch.
We have really missed cooking together in person and we are delighted to be able to welcome you back safely to Rachel’s Kitchen.
